Does anyone here knows how to disable the task manager via the registry (or group policy) for every user in Windows XP?
Currently, I can only disable the task manager for a user by user basis via the registry (and group policy), but not for all users. Even with the settings in HKEY_LOCALMACHINE, some users can still invoke the task manager. Please help. Many thanks in advance. |

Are you trying to disable group policy for users on a home computer/local machine or for a computer that is part of a domain? |

The same domain name is shared. This is not affecting home PCs.
Anyway I managed to get this done by logging in as the proper PC's administrator and then, configuring the Group Policy Objects - to disable the task manager. So far, all the other sessions of user logins have their task managers disabled as well. |

You can always set permissions on the task manager.
