Hi guys..
I was recently running some tests on my system where I set it as a startup object in Win XP.. I found that after the Windows logon (immediately when the Start task bar appears on screen), if the user presses the CTRL + ALT + Delete and select the Task Manager option or if the user presses the CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to activate the the Task Manager, the startup becomes disabled. This means that my system could not run on startup as intended. Does this mean that when I invoke the Task Manager at the right time (immediately when the Start task bar appears on screen), the startup becomes disabled automatically? How can I prevent users from doing this? Are there any ways to do it? Is this one of the many flaws in Win XP? |

You should code your program as a service.
Or use the registry startup key that will finish your process before proceeding on to the normal startup, like spybot and updates do when running on reboot.
