Dr. Watson problem
I installed SP2 on my laptop about a week ago and it had been working fine until yesterday when upon boot I get window telling me that there was a problem with Dr. Watson and that the application will have to shut down. The 2 options are to send and not send. hitting either button locks the system. I can move the cursor, but no action when I click or double-click. I can boot in safe mode, but that's it.
Any ideas? Can I reinstall SP2? If this is an option, I haven't tried Safe w/ networking, but if that doesn't work, can I download and install SP2 from a CD? |

welll... you could repair your current windows instalation.... or why not reinstaling it? It is a big problem... so don't try to uninstall enything as long as you still want your data stored on it to be intact! If not... options: 1. repair 2.reinstall

You're only option is to reinstall. Try the repair first as CCH has mentioned.

Why not? Maybe that person is still interested and want's to know some other opinions related to his problem... I say we shouldn't be lazy and if we have an advice, well even if the post is old... We should give it. This is my opinion...
Because let's be serious... nobody loves reinstaling windows and even so, everybody is curious! ![]() |
