Host Header Name
I cant seem to get this to work.
I Set up my Host Header name for my domain www.gamegut.com on port 80. And I purchased my domain through yahoo but Im not quite sure what Im suppost to do. I went into the Domain Control Panel and Set it to this: A Record *.gamegut.com (My server IP) A Record gamegut.com (My server IP) A Record www.gamegut.com (My server IP) -- Primary "the default yahoo one" Secondary "the default yahoo one" I was told that all I need to set are the A Record ones, and I can leave Primary and secondary alone. What happens is that it just gos to the default yahoo "web site coming soon page" instead of the website on my server. Hope you can help. Thank you, Billy |

Not an IIS problem, moved
You are asking how to configure your DNS, nothing about IIS. Perhaps a DNS guru will jump in here, or there is a good DNS forum at www.devshed.com

If you have set up your DNS to point at your server, you have to
give it a few (1-3) days to update all over. You also need to set up your website in IIS and under properties set up your host header - its under the default tab. If you need further help, please post back. (when I dig www.gamegut.com it is showing as 65.111.168.26) |
