Ok i downloaded Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 Update for Windows Vista so while i was downloading visual studio it said i was misisng some patch. So i stopped the downloading the visual studio and then downloaded service pack 1. then after i downloaded service pack 1 i restarted the computer and then stared the visual studio download and i hope it will go good. Can you tell me whats the database you have on ur system Thank you, Todd |

hi,
i was able to download visual studio 2005 on windows vista home premium now when i try to open it after choosing the environment it says Administrator permissions are recommended for running visual studio 2005 SP1 Can anyone tell me how to make it work todd |

So it installed correctly then, good.
To run VS, right click the shortcut and select 'Run as Administrator' I believe that's one of the options. You're almost there ![]()

i checked on google and it says TURN OFF UAC
now i am stuck i dont know how to turn it off any ideas todd |

As far as I know VS will run once you right click its shortcut and Select "Run as Administrator"

I went to start then clicked microsoft visual studio 2005 and then right clicked and said run as admnistrator it didnt fix the problem it still gives me the message i restarted the laptop but same |
