HTTP 500 - Internal server error
i am using windows XP in my system and our Proxy server is windows 2000. we have a firewall ( norton personal firewall) installed in the proxy. when trying to connect to some sites ( yahoo and some other sites r working) after entering the user name and pwd the error msg "HTTP 500 - Internal server error" is displayed in the browser. but the same site is working on the server. the site is working with my system if the firewall is disabled. so i can understand that it is a prob with the firewall. may i know which setting of the firewall is to be changed for the access of the site.

Turn off friendly http errors.
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab> Uncheck "Show friendly HTTP error messages" Then you will be able to determine the exact error. |
