Internet Explorer 5.01
Hi

Can anyone direct me to a place where I can download IE5.01 exe File so that I can install at a time and pc of my choosing.

I've tried the Microsoft Download Site but the one here wants to install it directly. I need the setup file to install it on another pc I have at work.

Just wondering that, when IE6/IE7 updated versions of the browsers are available why would someone like to use the earlier versions? Is it safe to do so?

one reason is to check that your website support older browsers.
no better way to check than use the real stuff..
as long as you browse only to your website you're safe.

Oops! Thanks for the reminder. I completely missed that. In that case it is indeed a wise decision to check the website on the older versions of the web browser as well. Most of the People do no upgrade the browser regularly.
