Map as Local Drive

Hi There

I try to map my local disk as "Local Drive", but i fails. Whenever I mapped, the type appears as "Network Drive". How do I map as "Local Drive"?

Any help is appreciated.

Because you can only map network drives. Why are you trying to map a local one?

If it helps, if you are using W2K, XP, W2003 you can change the assigned drive letter for a partition from disk management.

And you can sometimes use the SUBST dos command to map local folders to local drive letters.
