missing file?
After recently attempting to download a file from the net my virus scan picked up that i had a file called servdefragdll.pif, that was infected with a virus called back door. I used my virus scan to delete the file as it could not be cleaned, and now when ever i click on any program icons i get an error msg saying windows needs the servdefragdll.pif file to open applications. This is in windows 98SE, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

probably the virus has already infected your machine before being deleted. run full scan, try to use fix utilities like Disk Doctor or the tools provided by Symantec along with their Norton Antivirus... you have to fix the registry of the computer.
