MS Outlook 2003 free/busy service

Hi I set up an FTP folder on the server at my work so that all of the employees (me and my boss) could publish/share their free/busy information.

I followed all of the directions on how to publish and retrieve free/busy information and we both successfully have our information being published to the folder, but it seems we cannot retrieve each others information.

While setting up an appointment with the boss, I click on scheduling and where his name is, it shows no information at all. Hovering over this area it says "No information. No Free/Busy information could be retrieved."

Has anyone here come across this issue before? We are not using Exchange.

Any help is appreciated.

Question MS Outlook 2003 free/busy service doesn't work

Hey there Buddy,

Did you ever get this right, cause i am having exactly the same problem, but i am not using an ftp server i am useing a normal machine with a shared directory. And it gives me exactly the same message. So if you did manage to sort out the problem, please be so kind as to e-mail me the solution. My e-mail add is : hendrikw@reach.co.za please make the subject Free\Busy Setup.

Thank you in advance.
Best Regards
Hendrik

I thought free/busy required an Exchange server, but I don't know for certain.

www.slipstick.com is a good site for outlook/exchange information.

Talking So, anything resolved?

I have this same issue. I can see the other users calendars but when I try to invite them, I get no info on their schedule.

I did not see anything relevant on slipstick.com...

Thanks!
