Multiple Simultaneous Logon
Hi
Is it possible to have multiple simultaneous logons on a Win XP Pro machine? I know you can have multiple logons with a server through terminal services, but can the same be done on a Win XP Pro machine? Thanks

From the computer monitor screen or from the network? You can have multiple network connections as different users, or the same user. From the console I think fast user switching will let you have more than one user account logged in, but you have to completely switch between user screens which may not be what you want.

We have a Win XP machine that holds a shared network folder. I access remotely from outside the office via VPN.
However, the machine is used on a day to day basis, so I have to ask the person using it to stop if I need to do any work on it via Remote Desktop. I wanted to be able to logon at the same time, as you can with a server with concurrent licenses. I found a solution using a windows hack, here. Seems to work so far... ![]() Would be interested to hear of any alternatives. |
