Unhappy Need help! Encountered System Error
Hi there,

Since yesterday, I have been receiving some pop up messages on my laptop. The message is as follows:

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\WIN244~1.EXE
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:054e IP:011d OP:63 63 65 73 73 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

An MSDOS window will also pop up together with this message. I tried deleting the files in my TEMP folder but I still get the message.

Please advice. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If this doesn't work, I'd do a full virus scan as this could be a Trojan or something similar.

Hi, thanks for replying. I can't seem to find way to solve this error in the link that you provide. I have tried performing a virus scan and everything seems perfectly alright.
