Need help on 32-bit/64-bit windows operating system..

Hi All,

I am pretty new to windows administration..
1.) I would need your help in understanding the basic difference 32-bit and 64-bit operating windows system.
2.)Which versions of windows in 32-bit accommodate what maximum capacity of RAM
3.)Which versions of windows in 64-bit accommodate what maximum capacity of RAM.
If possible do let us know the calculation involved in finding the maximum RAM in each case.
