Problem w/MS Speech

I have written a speech-controlled app - it's been working on my home PC for 10 years, and I've installed it on several other PCs. I rtied installing it on my PC here at work, and now my speech applet in control panel won't work.

What I'm getting, is when I click Control Panel, then Speech, an error:

Quote:

"The requested task cannot be carried out because the neccessary engine could not be created. Please select a different engine and/or a different audio device"

I have searched all over the web, and though several people have had this same problem, some fixes seem to work for some people, none of them work for me.

What I don't know is whether speech worked on this PC before I installed my app, or if it was already broken...

Any ideas?

Fixed the problem - re-registered sapi.dll and it worked fine.
