rundll error

Hi'll,
I am a new member here. I apologize if this message is repost.

Whenever I start my laptop (Windows XP Professional), it throws me an error:

rundll failed:
failed to load D0CE0C16B1
couldn't find this module
.

I tried to copy the rundll file from Windows XP installation CD, but it didn't work for me
Because of this , I get two problems.
Firstly my laptop doesn't find the drivers for sound card . I reinstalled the drivers again from the recovery CD and restarted the laptop. But it didnt work.

Second one is interesting. When I go to Control Panel and then Device Manager, no devices are displayed there. There is a blank page.

Any help is highly appreciable.

Regards,
Scorpionking

This sounds a lot like a possible virus/trojan/spyware got on your computer. Run a full virus scan and antispyware scan.

Hi'll

Thanks for the replies. I did run the spywares and anti-virus to make sure there is no Trojan/virus. It didn't help me.

I also reinstalled sound card drivers from the recovery CD.Again no use.
Hey smallboy, can you tell me little more information about regserv command. How I am gonna run that and from which location.

Thanks guys,

Scorpionking
