Are you referring to people accessing the site by FTP?

Maybe you could ask your lecturer to explain more about what he meant? - - - Isn't that what they're there for?

Em, something like - When we're using frontpage or dreamweaver..Using "Open" tool, key in any website that you want, then it will access into the page and shows all the scripts. So, to prevent anyone can open the page, I wanna make something like require a password before success..but doesn't know how to set the password for it.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but the asp forum wasn't where this belonged. Moved.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe all you'll see is the html code, not the ASP source code, just as if you right click on the browser window and click view source.

You want to prevent someone seeing the html code?

Either that or maybe you have anonymous access enabled on the ftp account and if you type in the ftp path to your pages, it's opening up the source. I'm not sure.

Are you seeing the full ASP source code or just the html code?
