seriously, maybe something is wrong with the cable connecting
the speakers to the computer, or something is wrong in its port.
you can try this:
Right click My Computer --> Hardware --> Device Manager -->
Sound, video and game controllers --> check everything in
there and look for something weird..

I have checked the cables, look fine to me!
no loose wire rither.

And i have checked there many times Shad........ it doesnt show any problem with any device or anything.

JMH, Winamp stops playing.... and all PC sounds stop. Then when i close winamp, it still shows in Task Manager, i stop it from there too.
Then after some time, the sounds come back........ this time varies from 1 min to even some hours.

Today i tried playing it in Windows Media Player, there only the sound stops in between, but the player doesnt stop, sound then again comes back soon.

I checked the wires of the speakers and they are all fine.
I have no spare sound card, neither did i changed any h/w recently.

Now i m trying different headphones to see if they work properly or what!!

ok, i tried headphones too........ same result as above!!
Any ideas guys........ whats the problem...... is it the sound card?

have you looked over your running processes? Perhaps there is something running that is interfering with your audio. maybe post hijackthis log.
