So far so good, not that any of the check's came back woth anything but i did get rid of some programmes at start up that where not needed like some itunes thing etc etc.

I also keep my open splication down to no more then 4 now .

On a simalar note, im going to connect my little bro's PC to my BBand connection at home and as its a personal PC gonna have to guard it myself from Virus's etc from what i have been reading i have gathered in need

Spybot Search and Destroy
Adaware Personal
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

would anyone recomend anything else of should these 3 be good enough to guard the PC..

yeah, fancy programs are usually source for problems. better to avoid them in

PS they need to be free
make sure the windows firewall is on atleast. Either that or put on ZoneAlarm. You can get just the firewall for free!

I recommend Microsoft AntiSpyware tool.... as much as we're used to hate MS, this
one is pretty good and so far working very well.

still in beta tho iirc. So might not be best for your lil bro unless you are around to keep an eye on it! As SW says it works well but i always hesitate to put beta stuff on inexpereience users machines cus it will be sods law that they find a bug in it lol !!

O.O yeh o don't like bata stuff, but ill def keep a eye out for when it gets released, well i can keep an eye on him as still @ home (god doan hose prices).
