Hello,
This weird looking border like hidden bar or whatsoever, sometimes float on top-left of my screen. Could this be video card or monitor glitch? cheers, imperialx |

well, prolly not a monitor glitch.... More than likely, what's causing this is a memory issue. Not saying that you have bad memory in your system or on your video card, just saying that for some reason, the borders aren't being totally wiped from memory. I would lean more towards a software/driver problem.
I would almost bet that this probably doesn't happen in Safe Mode. Has anything changed on the system in the recent past? Is there a program you know of that opens up in that quadrant? This almost appears to be the remnants of some sort of message box. First step would be to reboot, see if the problem duplicates. Then reboot into safe mode and see if it is still there. I believe that's not memory problem. some program or process is in "zombie" mode. download Process Explorer from here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sy...ssexplorer.mspx click the "bullseye" button then hover over the zombie border. you'll see the process highlighted and you'll be able to identify and kill it. |

Turn off 3D buttons
I would turn off the 3D windows interface and see if that makes the problem go away. Why not post your system specs? I've seen this kind of problem on machines that have limited RAM....shared with video RAM.
Right click My Computer Choose Properties Advanced Tab Performance section > Settings button Adjust for best performance radio button. Okay all the way out. Who needs all that silly eye candy anway? |
