Problem Description:
After installing Windows 2003 Server Standard or Enterprise Edition from the scratch (after formatting the HDD), getting an error message (Error Code: 0x80070002: "A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer"), while logging in, after typing the Admin password. The computer is not in a network. The Microsoft article (555488) is not clear to resolve the issue. I have no idea of using VLA or non-VLA (Volume Licensing Activation). Any suggestions please??? |

Actually file copy process during installation was an issue. I ignored 2 files (after retrying many times), to complete it earlier.
I tried with different Windows 2003 CD and it worked perfectly. Started from the scratch again (format - fresh install). I did not try safe mode. Even tht may be useful info in such case. Thanks for spending your precious time for me. Last edited by genforumuser : June 13th, 2008 at 01:01 AM. Reason: emphasis color |
