Windows Explorer Interface Virtual Directory
Hi,
Not sure what forum to put this thread in, so put it here because it is mainly about Windows Explorer. I am currently setting up a small website for my LAN where users can access their Home Directory from the Internet. I am running Windows Small Business Server 2003. I have created a virtual directory in IIS with Read, Run ASP Scripts, Write and Browse permissions. The virtual directory points to the location on my hard drive where the Shared Folders are located. When I visit the URL: http://myserver/HomeD/UserName (UserName being the user name of the user account that you want to see the home directory, and HomeD being the virtual directory I created. When I visit the URL, I get a directory listing. There is a way you can make it so that I don't get the directory listing, but you get an Explorer window where you actually see a graphical interface, and the document icons. Does anyone know how it is done? Suggestions welcome! Thanks in advance matty ![]() |
