Windows ME startup
I am getting a message "Explorer caused an error in <unknown>. When I click on Close the message just comes back. Anyone know what that means and how I solve whatever is the problem? I have reinstalled the OS but no joy. Same happens in Safe Mode

You have the same problem after reinstalling????? O_o
Find a really big hammer, take out your aggression, throw it out the window...... j/k Honestly, if a reinstall didn't help, you have to look toward hardware. I'd start with your RAM. |

Thanks. I took your advice and ditched it. Tesco do a very nice system for £299!

Sounds like a plan. That system was outdated and unsupported. I think you'll be very happy with your decision to replace it. Good luck.
