Windows Task Manager problem
Please help me with a windows task manager problem. When I starting playing any games, my broadband connection gets disconnected after sometimes. Before playing, i would check my processes in windows task manager. Systerm Idle Process shows 90%. after playing the games for sometime, suddenly System Idle Process turns 0%, and System turns 99% which i think cause my broadband connection to disconnect besides lagging my pc.

Do you have any anti-virus software running?
I ran into a similar issue with my Norton Anti-virus. For some reason Norton was thinking the responses coming back from my router were malicious (Portscan attack) so it kept blocking the routers IP address for a limited amount of time. |

Second, if your system process is spiking it's because the game is too intense for your system. What are your system specs and what are the requirements for the game. Lastly, try installing the latest video drivers, and make sure you have the latest version of DirectX (and OpenGL, if needed). Other than that, we don't have enough information to even begin try to diagnose this.

It is always recommended to have an anti-virus installed on your computer if you are using broadband or dial-up services. If not then it is an open invitation for bad minds. That will increase a loads of problems for you in future making things worse for you.It may also spoil all your routine work at some point and leave you helpless when you need to use your computer. Precaution is always better than cure. Try AVG anti virus it is free and reliable. |
