Windows will not repair after MOBO change!
I replaced my processer and my MOBO , however I did not realize that any such hardware changes will cause this problem to my windows untill I did the change (this is the first time i actually had to change the mobo), so a repair did not work, after copying the files setup needed it will reboot the computer, and then it wont actually load into the windows setup (offcourse without pressing the anykey to boot from cd) it will load the normal windows which will obviously fail.
Any suggestions? |

When you are changing motherboards, always prepare for a fresh install of windows. This is becuase different mobos use different drivers for buses and controllers just as an example.
Usually changing a mobo and running your old install of windows will result in the dreaded BSOD. |

as I said, I never changed a MOBO before and it jst didnt occur to me that i will need to reinstall or prepare my windows for a new mobo.!! I have read a couple of articles that some people wrote in different websites, and many managed to get there windows up and running after a MOBO change. So I was just wondering wut are my options now given that a windows repair keeps failing!.
Thx. |
