General Scripting - Windows File & Registry Inventory Scripting

Hello,

I am looking for some script examples to scan a Windows 2003 server for a specific .cfg file, specific entry in the .cfg file, and a specific registry key. This should come back with results in a file in a specific shared directory or web interface.

For example: I am looking for a smtp.micorsoft.com or 10.10.10.1 IP address in config.cfg file and in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set.

If anyone has an idea how to write a script like this or has a sample of something similar that could be modified, please share it.
