Network/Wired - Cisco Ios 2500

Hi,

I think my question will be a common question but I've searched the forum and I am unable to find an answer. I'm really hoping that someone can help me out.

I have a CISCO 2500 router and I bascially wanted to start from the bottom up. I'm looking for an insight into how to firstly reset the router to a default config, set it up to allow all traffic through and then start to configure it to tighten it up. I'm hoping this will give me a taster of how things are done and how configurations are added and taken away from a CISCO router. To start this I believe I will need the IOS for the 2500 router.

Please can someone help me find the IOS and if there are any pointers for my quest, I would be most grateful.

P.S. I'm not expecting the world here, just a pointer and the IOS it that's OK?

Thank you.

(This seemed like the best forum to place this question. I hope I am correct)

Phil
