Permissions - Computer settings - saving login
There is a web server that my machine and other machines connect to. When I first tried to connect to it, I had to enter the login and password for that server. Each time subsequently, I haven't had to so I figure it's saved the login somewhere on my machine.
There is another machine that also needs to connect to the same web server, but for some reason, it requests the login each time it is restarted. I think it might not be saving the login information where ever it saves that. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. |

How are you connecting?
Do you open a browser and then receive the login prompt? Or do you login remotely to the web server?

Umm forgive me ahead of time, but I don't have that much network experience.
To answer your question, I think the answer is neither. The directory is being accessed via a C# program I've written. It calls the location like this: \\pwdc-time\c$\Inetpub\wwwroot\DPW I hope this helped. |

I'd imagine the network share you're accessing has been stored on the one machine and not the other.
You can manually add it, here is how, using Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306992 |

Hey jmurrayhead: Your solution works when I use the UNC path (\\pwdc-time\c$\Inetpub\wwwroot\DPW), but when I try and open the mapped drive to that location, I still have to log in. I can just use the UNC path in my code, but out of curiosity, why is this happening?

Honestly I'm not sure why the UNC would work but not the mapped drive of that UNC.
