Software to discover if personal system is monitored??

Hey guys, I'm that fairly techy guy at work. One of my collegues is going through a rough time with her husband and is worried that he's put something on her computer to log all her activities. She may be being paranoid, but is there a way that you know of to scan the computer for something of this nature? Its not a work computer its her laptop, she says he figures out her passwords to her email and such, which makes me think that he may have a keylogger or some other "snoopware" on her machine. Since that stuff is mostly designed to be invisible, how can you find it? Hoping to bring her some piece of mind. Thanks a ton.

There are piece of software out there you can use to scan for keyloggers. Any good antivirus should be able to find most of them before they are installed. The true is if she is still living with him and he has physical access to the network and her laptop he can do many things to get the information he wants from the computer. Best bet get a smart phone and lock it out and use that for anything that you don't want him to see.
