Hello,
Looking at the event viewer (antivirus), a warning sign says; Quote:
I use Avast to search for any and two virus are found Quote:
Deleting the file or moving the file to chest doesn’t help much for this message prompts Quote:
Weird part is, the former virus doesn’t have any folder named p364sus, instead it is a file with no extension and the latter virus isetup.exe is missing even though I set the folder option to view all hidden files. Seach&Destroy doesn’t found any problems though. Any anti software I need to purchase or do I simply format my pc? Thanks! Added note: My PC now won't shutdown or restarts, I need to manually turn off the powergrid. cheers, asptips Last edited by asptips : December 4th, 2007 at 05:07 AM. Did you get this resolved? You could try using an online virus checker like housecall.trendmicro.com, run spyware removal programs like spybot and adaware, and get the tools from www.sysinternals.com. Visit antivirus sites and read the specifics of the virus you found.
Or to be safe, erase your disk then reinstall windows. For some virus/spyware that's the only safe solution.
