Wired Equivalency Protocol (WEP)
What can I do with Wired Equivalency Protocol (WEP) to make my wireless network more secure? Thanks.

An experienced hacker can easily get access to your wireless network that is secured via WEP. Its RC4 stream cipher, which is used to encrypt the data, has been cracked. Both 40- and 128-bit keys have been cracked -- the 128-bit encryption only prolongs the cracking process. If your wireless devices support it, use WPA2. It provides the highest level of encryption available. Here's a few good reads: http://www.computerworld.com/mobile...1,86951,00.html http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...y/wireless.mspx
