Hi all .. i am making a web system using ASP.NET and sql server 2000 i am using my own email server. i want to know wat it costs to make a .NET website and how to get it online. Please reply in detail..

hello,

the cost is down to how big the site is, how experienced you are and is some respect who the client it. There is no generic cost for a site.

As for getting it online, you need to find a host that supports asp.net and sql server. try googling and that should bring up some good suggestions.

If you are doing it yourself, sql server will be costly. It's better to get a host that supports sql 2000

You can develop with SQL Express 2005 on your local environment, but if you will be going with a shared hosting provider for your live website, you will need to use SQL 2005. Don't go with a shared host supporting SQL Express - there are security and reliability issues. If you are going to go with a dedicated server, then you can use SQL Express on it.
