ASP.NET with GoDaddy.com Hosting
Hi ASP Free Forums:
I am trying to upload my HelloWorld ASPX page to my GoDaddy hosting (with accompanying DLLs, etc.). The server says the page is not there. I can run the pages both using IIS and using Cassini. However, the GoDaddy hosting does find and runs .ASP pages nicely. By the way, I have the $3.95 a month Windows hosting plan with them. Here is my answer from technical support from Jason P., a GoDaddy.com Customer Service Representative: While our servers do support the use of ASP.NET pages, we are not able to provide support for setting up or troubleshooting ASP.NET coding issues. If you need help with ASP.NET coding, you will need to check with online ASP.NET support forums. I apologize for any inconvenience.Has anyone gotten ASP.NET pages to run with GoDaddy? Thanks in advance for your response. |

Before you can use ASP.NET apps with their own "bin" folder, the application root needs to be explicity defined from within IIS.
You'll need to send GoDaddy and email asking them to convert the directory inside your website into an "IIS Application", your ASP.NET apps should then run fine. |
