Free ASP server
Hello I need a free Web server software (other than IIS). I'm Using Win XP Home Ed.

...But you don't get ASP. Theres always PWS (but thats only for NT4 Workstation and Windows 98) but its based on IIS4 and you get ASP2.0 rather than 3.0. Then there's Casini and other "development servers", but they only work with ASP.NET and don't provide for ASP. |

There is a work around to get IIS on XP Home edition. But I'm afraid its a try at your own risk kind of thing.
Have a look at http://www.15seconds.com/issue/020118.htm and see if you think it is worth it. My advice would be to bite the bullet and upgrade to XP Pro. |

I did this to my XP Home machine and had no problems. Only because I was too lazy to wipe out my machine and put 2000 on it. But will eventually blow it out and do it.
