FTP Optimazation
Hello,
I don't know if the title ain't fit or absurd, just wondering if accessing FTP can be optimized. Accessing my FTP account using windows explorer eats a lot of bandwith next to my optimize HTTP pages. Bandwith consumption total 0.3% Service | Used % FTP | 38.6% HTTP | 59.5% POP3/IMAP | 0% SMTP | 1.8% cheers, asptips |

Yes the title IS a little odd, FTP optimization. I don't think anything like that exists. If you are uploading something using FTP it will use the bandwidth it needs, unless otherwise you start uploading zipped files. Which is of course not possible. Are you uploading large media files?

Hi HostingITrust,
I disabled the FTP and make my own ftp transfer which reduces the bandwith consumption 80%. ![]() |
