How long will ASP 3.0 be supported by Web Hosts
I have heard that Microsoft will be "terminating" ASP 3.0 in about a year but haven't been able to find any info about it.
Does anyone have further info? Just because MS will discontinue ASP, I assume many web hosts will continue to provide web servers that run it for a while. Any thoughts, info about that? Thanks. |

Microsoft has this webpage: www.microsoft.com/lifecycle
They typically provide 10 years of support (5 years mainstreem support and 5 years extended). From my understanding, if ASP is supported on a particular platform then they should support it for the lifecycle of the platform. But if the platform is no longer supported (eg NT4/IIS4) then ASP on that platform is no longer supported. |
