Individual hosting accounts?
I run a non-profit organization that provides universities with a professor review system. I was wondering if I should set up individual hosting accounts for each school or just run them through the same account and just pay more for more bandwidth?
Benefits of individual hosting accounts: 1)Database query speed 2)If host goes down, then not all schools lose their sites 3)never have to worry about bandwidth problems or any problem reaching more than 1 school Downfalls: 1)price, not too much of an issue 2)hassel Any ideas guys? -k |

I would recommened buying a reseller account so that you can host all domains at once place. This will be cheaper as well. Be careful when you select a hosting company. |

My host is uplinkearth.com. I love 'em. When you say reseller account do you mean subdomains?

I mean real TLD (full domains) not just the sub-domains. |

Check with Webhost4life. If you have multiple accounts, they have a manager that allows you to manage them all from one control panel although they are separate webspaces/bandwidth, etc.
I got the $10 a month plan which includes: * Unlimited Bandwidth!!! * 300 MB of MSSQL space * 300 MB of webspace * etc. If you need more space, the $20 a month plan doubles it. They even have a $5 a month plan if you need just Access and not SQL. I have contacted them a couple of times through their support ticket system to set up specific settings and each time I had resolutions within a couple of hours. I have not yet tried their 24X7 phone number, but I assume they respond just as well. This is definitely recommended. |
