I know that in a windows hosting environment you can have a load balacing feature but my question is can you have a load balacing feature in a linux/unix hosting environment?

Are we talking about a webhost having load balancing their servers, or you'd like
to create such set up in your linux/unix environment?

Is this a service you're going to provide or you're looking for a webhost with load balancing?

Loading balancing is something that usually your datacenter would take care of. I think it is an added service you buy from them, just like you would buy an additional back up server for data security.
