I would like to add such information:
"iKobo has made an easier method to accept payments for single and multiple items internationally through your own website. The Single Item and Shopping Cart services are very fast and easy to implement, which will only take minutes to begin accepting international transactions from iKobo's millions of members, and any other buyer on the Internet.
You can accept payments from current iKobo members as well as customers who have never used Ikobo before, and you won't lose your customers after they've made a purchase - our payment process keeps the customer on a page designed by you to look as though they've never left your site. Once the customer completes the transaction they are directed to the page of your choice - Simple process from start to finish".

I am a business man owning a commercial site. I signed up for a merchant account to www.iKobo.com. I was surprised of how easily I customized my merchant account in order to blend with my commercial web site. I am happy for now with iKobo.

Thumbs up

I also signed up at www.iKobo.com and so far I am pleased with the service they provide. Good customer support and low rates. What really matters to me is their coverage of 170 countries because all of the other companies I tried don't have that kind of coverage wich is important to me. My personal opinion is that it's a good choice.

ikobo

I would like to add some reasons of why I chose ikobo:
1. Coverage rules (170 countries) - think of how many clients I can have
2. I can choose how to divide the % charged by ikobo between me and my clients
3. IPN system - create a database from where I can extract statistics and stuff
4. iKard - Visa electron debit card - so sweet when I want money and all I have to do is to go to the ATM machine located
next to my place and just stick my iKard in it and take the money from my iKobo account

There are other features but I don't use them; but if you want to know about them just post here and I will try to help you!

ciao

I'm not to sure this simpleecommerce thing is for real. I've done a little searching on google and it doesn't turn up anything significant. No user reviews or anything. Looks to me they are either a new company or people just don't use them. I'm wouldn't trust them yet. For now I'm going to stick with ikobo.

iKobo.com - online money transfer

Please help me with something. I know that ikobo charges 1.5$ fee everytime I withdraw money from my account. But the problem is that every bank has it's own withdrawing fees in adition to ikobo's fee.

My question is how can I know which bank charges the lowest fee of all because I travel a lot and I need to know which bank from the country I travel charges me with the lowest fees. Thank you.

Well, that's a pretty tough question since there are a lot of banks, and you haven't specified what countries you travel to. You should check the websites of the banks who own the ATMs you usually withdraw money from for a list of fees, or login to www.ikobo.com, maybe they will provide you with the information you need. You can use the live chat section on the website, and speak to a live operator. Maybe that could help you. It has helped me in a number of occasions. I think you should give it a try.

Exclamation help!

OK, sorry for bringing this thread back, but I have a problem. I just had my wallet stolen from me, in it was my ikard. My question is what do I have to do to get a new one and have this one cancelled. Needless to say the PIN was only in my head so I don't think there's any risk of the card being used by someone else. Will I get a new one? Will it cost me anything? Thanks for any kind of help!

This is not a good solution. I mean opening an online store without having a merchant account is like playing on the internet. Money comes from a good merchant account with low fees and great coverage. You can choose any payment system but you must take in consideration the target you want (coverage), fees and speed of processing your funds. I say you can choose between ikob, moneybookers, epassporte and paypal. Go for it.

Ooook, thanks a lot for helping me out!
The problem got solved anyway, I've spoken to support at ikobo and they sent me a new card along with a new PIN of course. Now it works just as good as the first one and I'll be more careful this time.

Ehh, no problem, the important thing is that things are ok now.
Now for your question, this time the card only took 2 days to arrive because it was sent express. I suppose ikobo does care for their customers enough to do this. Made a pretty good impression on me.

Did you know there have been two modules released to integrate ikobo into OSCommerce? I think it's very good this things are starting to appear, maybe someone else is interested in this. Here are the links:

http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2258/page,6

http://www.ostemplates.net/product_info.php?products_id=122 - this one also has a working demo of the ikobo shopping cart. Interesting.
