I'm a bit curious to know, what are the advisable sizes of webspace and bandwith for a personal site?

Hi,
That really does depend on how many people visit your site, I rmember getting my first paid package and I bought LOADS of webspace and bandwidth to be safe, but atleast it never went down due to it! Its up to how much you are willing to pay too.

It also depends largely on what you are hosting. Images and media files require much more bandwidth than plain text files such as html.

Most hosts nowadays provide ample disk space and bandwidth for most personal websites. Will you be requiring to host a lot of images or multimedia files?

always overestimate
When you have calculated how much diskspace and bandwidth you want. Always go for more! Reason is it will be trouble some if you found out what you want is actually not enough
