    Move data from .asp form to .pdf form

    I need your help…at my wits end.

    I need to send some info from a form, to my Access DB and some info to an Acrobat file (I’ve turned into a form). Sending to my db is no problem. I need to know how to send the info to my Acrobat file.

    Lets make it simple:
    I’ve removed everything but one form element…

    MyAspForm.asp
    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <body>
    <form id=”myform”>
    <input type=”text” id=”firstname” name=”firstname”>
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>

    MyPdfForm.pdf
    <firstname>

    How do I move the data from one form to the other?
    Can this even be done with .asp
    I’ve seen web pages showing how to do this with .asp.net and .php….however, I must do this with .asp
    I did see one other page showing how to go from html form to pdf, but with this one every person who uses it (the form) must change their MIME settings for pdf and Windows 7 treats MIME differently than previous systems...so you can't make the change.

    Can anyone be of any help?

    It can be done. My asp app create pdf waybills and invoices based on form data every day.

    Check out asppdf.com. Its just a dll file you need to install on your server which enables this functionality.

    Then, check out http://support.persits.com/pdf/demo_form.aspx for an example on how to fill your pdf forms from your asp forms.

    If you need any help post it here. Its very easy to set up.

    Oh, I'm sorry. When I went to the page, it looked like what I wanted but the extention was .aspx. Had I taken the time to look in the .zip folder, I would have seen the .asp file.

    Thank You rtown, this will do it for me

    I copied your code over using just one field...for testing.
    I keep getting an error on this line

    Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
    Server.CreateObject Failed
    /eforms/Reimbursement/reimb.asp, line 783
    800401f3

    Line 783 is
    Set PDF = Server.CreateObject("Persits.PDF")

    What is Persists.PDF?

    I installed to DLL files (from asppdf.com) using the 30 day temp key.

    I now get the following error message.

    Persits.PdfManager.1 error '800a0049'
    Registration key length is invalid.
    /eforms/Reimbursement/reimb.asp, line 786

    is this an error in the installation...do I just need to go into the registry and change the key?
