System Date from Server or Local PC

May I know whether the now() will retrieve the system date or local pc's date?

The ASP application is resided in 1 server and the database server is resided on another server. So from which server will the now() retrieve the date or will it retrieve from client's pc?

    Thanks.

If you are using now() within server-side code, it will return the server date/time. If you happen to be using client-side vbscript, now() will return the client browser date/time.

Since you mentioned databases, if you use any db date/time functions like getdate in sql server, you'll get the date/time of the computer running the dbms program.
