Make existing data read-only but allow entering of new data in empty fields?

Is it possible to make existing data read-only but allow entering of new data in empty fields? I'm using Access 2010, but with 2003 database (mdb).

Maybe. Could use Conditional Formatting that disables a textbox or combobox based on some condition. That condition could be whether there is data. Or if form is in Single view, use VBA.
I like to know if my suggestion helped you. One way to let me know is by clicking star at bottom left corner of post.
