    Calendar Problem

    I have problem working with calendar. It is in ASP.NET Web application in VB.Net. Database connected is oracle DB.

    My problem is, i need the user to dropped down the calendar
    and choose the "birth date", say year 1970. It is difficult since there is no "year" selection. User need to press the back month button, many many time.

    Is anyone know how to solve it?

       <script language="VB" runat="server">
            Sub Date_Selected(sender As Object, e As EventArgs)
                Label1.Text = "Selected date is: " + Calendar1.SelectedDate.ToShortDateString
            End Sub
       <asp:Calendar id="Calendar1" onselectionchanged="Date_Selected" runat="server" />
       <asp:Label id="Label1" runat="server" />

    the ordinary Calendar control does not support such option.

    one way around is to use the Calendar only to choose day
    and month, and let your visitor choose the year from drop
    down list.

    another way is inheriting the Calendar class and adding
    the stuff you want.. example of code that extends the class:
